Bilingual? Oh Yes.

I am fluent in two languages-English, and the ever-so-popular Sarcasm.

Sarcasm, who doesn't love it, right? Sarcasm, in general, can be a pretty mean form of comedy. So why do so many people use it? Because, for some reason, it's funny! Now this isn't the same for everyone, because I know some people do not enjoy sarcasm or understand it. But I find sarcasm to be an almost intelligent form of comedy. First, you have to figure out if the person is even being sarcastic. Then you have to figure out just how sarcastic they are being or what they are exactly being sarcastic about. I have heard that some people with brain damage are unable to understand sarcasm. I also know that when I went to Costa Rica, many people there did not understand sarcasm either (which is understandable, because I was saying it in English). So clearly, sarcasm does take some sophisticated thinking in order to understand the humor. I just love it! People just have to be careful, like with most jokes, not to go too far.

Breatheee...Just Breathe

Why do we forget to breathe while we are working out? I've always wondered this. I remember coaches always saying "don't forget to breathe!!" which seems odd because how could I forget to breathe? But I always do forget in the end. I suddenly find myself while doing push-ups or sit-ups gasping for air because I completely forget to breathe ( I know I'm not alone with this)! I think people hold their breath because while working out they have to keep their stomach muscles tight. It's difficult to tighten stomach muscles and breathe deeply. So maybe that is why? Or maybe it's just a habit that is difficult to break. All I know is I subconsciously hold my breath, and I can't seem to break the habit.
